Stumps often last longer than most of the trees that surround them. There are cedar stumps near my home in western Oregon cut 171 years ago by the first white settler on his then Donation Land Claim from 1852!

If you look at google earth you can see the buildings are vents for the massive ventilation systems.

Rad time-lapse. All that extra rainfall produced some larger size trout, it seems. Hell of a cool video. That water hole also is a honey hole.
